As we move into the festive party season, there will no doubt be a host of beauty trends popping up. Whether it’s glittery eye shadow, patterned nails or vibrant red lips, there will certainly be plenty to keep us busy.
But Harper’s Bazaar recently pointed out that skincare should be the top beauty trend we all look to embrace this year (if we don’t already).
The publication pointed out that a strong skincare regime is how to have glowing skin, noting that this was a key theme during fashion month. Many models hit the catwalks without any makeup, demonstrating the importance of skincare.
Nichola Joss, celebrity facialist, told the magazine that there used to be little to no skincare prep offered to models before a show, but now that’s all changed.
“There’s increased awareness of the importance of skincare, especially because the better the skin, the better the makeup,” she asserted.
The publication also revealed some of the tricks of the trade to get that glowing skin, even when you have a hectic schedule. Among the staple products backstage at fashion shows are sheet masks.
“Face masks can give you the immediate results you need, especially when it comes to getting rid of puffiness and hydrating the skin,” Ms Joss revealed. She also noted that they are great prep before you apply makeup.
So, consider investing in a face mask as well as some of the other top beauty trends this winter. Glitter and matte lips are among the most popular looks to go for this festive season.
