Kylie Jenner Celebrates Six Years Of Cosmetics Brand

Kylie Jenner has been celebrating six years since the birth of her own cosmetics brand Kylie Cosmetics.

Ms Jenner posted about the anniversary on Instagram with a shared image from the brand’s own page showing a sprinkle-coated cake with a number 6 on it, surrounded by Kylie Lip Kits.

The brand’s launch in 2015 began with the lip kits and fans were so excited by the arrival of the brand that they sold out in minutes. This was followed by the launch of a number of other products such as blushes, bronzers and eyeshadow palettes, before Kylie Skin was launched in 2019 to offer a range of skin products.

She sold off a 51 per cent stake in the firm to global firm Coty for $600 million later that year and in 2020 she was declared to be the world’s youngest self-made billionaire at the age of 23. Insider reported this year that she has dropped off the Forbes Rich List, but she is still believed to have a fortune of $900 million.

Anyone who needs microblading in Hull may have used some of Ms Jenner’s products themselves, as they grow into a major brand.

Ms Jenner’s appearance on social media was her first in a few weeks, after partner Travis Scott was caught up in an incident at the Astroworld Festival where a fatal crowd surge occurred during his performance.

Handling this issue has been a challenge for Ms Jenner, whose own personal fame has been a key part of the appeal of her brand.

This is in contrast with some older, more established cosmetics firms, where events tend to take place on a rather more low-profile basis.

Among other significant events taking place in the industry, Gotha Cosmetics has appointed a new CEO, with Paolo Valsecchi announced as the new chief executive officer.

Mr Valsecchi’s predecessor, Rene Baaring, left the role for personal reasons after just a year in the post.
