The Met Gala is often a time when celebrities experiment more with their looks on the red carpet, and that can certainly be said to be true of this year’s event.
Harper’s Bazaar recently picked out some of the top makeup and hair trends spotted on the celebrities attending the star-studded event.
Some may be ones you want to add to your makeup arsenal, others might seem a little more out there - such as the yellow eyebrows sported by Kristen Stewart, which were accented by the neon orange tips on her hair.
Colourful eyeshadow was definitely a theme, with the likes of Dua Lipa and Camila Mendes both choosing to wear eyeshadow that tied in with the rest of their outfit - purple for the singer and teal and yellow for the Riverdale actress.
Big hair was also a focus, with many of the women on the red carpet rocking impressive oversize dos, with plenty of sparkly embellishments to finish them off. It is worth noting that the theme for this year’s Met Gala was camp, which is probably why some celebs went all out with their makeup.
And of course Lady Gaga had an incredible look, with ultra-long gold eyelashes that were enhanced further by her black eyeliner.
