Kim Kardashian: Skinny Brows Are ‘Not Funny’

Thick, fuller brows are going to remain the ‘in’ trend in 2023, after Kim Kardashian freaked out when she thought her daughter had shaved hers into a much skinnier style.

Nine-year-old North West shared a clip with her 12.1 million TikTok followers pretending to make her mum’s eyebrows considerably thinner when she was asleep.

However, she was just using an eyebrow filter on her phone, which allows women to test out different looks before committing to one.

When the 42-year-old woke up and saw her new brows, she wasn’t too impressed, saying: “North, this is not funny.”

However, the SKIMS/SKKN founder soon realised she’d been pranked by her daughter and her beautifully arched thick brows were still there.

The video has amassed 2.9 million likes and almost 22 million views since it was published, showing just how shocked people were to see Kim’s new look, however temporary it was.

Fuller eyebrows have replaced the ‘90s look for skinny brows for several years now, with many women, particularly those who overplucked when they were younger, opting for microblading in Hull to fill out their arches.

This is a type of tattooing that adds semi-permanent make-up to the skin in delicate strokes to make it look like fine hairs. It is ideal for creating a thicker look, as well as filling out thin patches.

Celebrities who have undergone eyebrow transformations from skinny to thick over the years include the likes of supermodel Bella Hadid, former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan, Angelina Jolie, No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani and Jennifer Lopez.
