At our beauty salon in Hull, we specialise in microblading for eyebrows. It’s one the most popular semi-permanent makeup treatments, giving you effortlessly perfect eyebrows regardless of whether you have just been to the gym or been caught in the rain. If this sounds good to you, but you still have a few questions to ask, read on!
What exactly is microblading?
Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup. The process is similar to a mini tattoo, using very fine needles to implant pigment under the surface of the skin. This creates the appearance of ultra-fine and realistic hairlike strokes, which can be shaped to suit your face and personal preferences.
How long does microblading last?
The results will typically last between 12 to 18 months, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and how carefully you follow the post-treatment instructions. For example, oily skin may not hold pigments as well as drier skin. It may be necessary to have a touch up treatment about six to eight weeks after the first session to perfect your brows.
Is it painful?
For most people, the treatment will involve no more than mild discomfort. If you have a low tolerance for pain, you may want to take some painkillers before the appointment. Your aesthetician may apply some numbing gel to the brow area to minimise any discomfort.
What are the benefits of microblading?
Microblading produces very natural looking results, and the shape can be manipulated to frame your face. It’s ideal if you have sparse or overplucked eyebrows, and want to create the illusion of fullness and definition. It’s also great if you have a busy routine, and don’t want the hassle of re-applying your makeup every morning or after the gym.
