Gen Z All Over Straight Eyebrow Trend

Supermodels Bella Hadid and Cara Delevingne have set the straight eyebrow trend alight, and are now the reason why huge numbers of Generation Z are shaving off the ends of their brows.

The hashtag #straighteyebrows has been viewed on TikTok more than 77 million times, as girls all over the world are trying to give themselves a temporary facelight by removing the natural curve of their eyebrow.

However, TikTokers who are inspired by this trend should be cautious before they take to their face with a razor, as hairs can take months to fully grow back.

At the same time, regrowth can be patchy and difficult to disguise.

While millions of people seem to be taken in by the new trend, others have warned youngsters to steer clear.

The New York Post reported one viewer as saying: “Watching Gen Z mess up their eyebrows just like all the gens before them.”

Indeed, many of us can remember overplucking their brows in the ‘90s and early ‘00s, and some are still paying the price for the trend, having to draw in thicker, fuller brows as the hair never really grew back.

As Marie Claire magazine says “these trends might come and go, but your eyebrows are forever”, and some people may never recover from hacking parts of their brows.

It is also wise to remember that just because they look great on Bella and Cara with their supermodel credentials, this doesn’t mean they will suit everyone.

Natural-looking fuller eyebrows that follow your own arch are a much better bet, as they won’t go out of fashion. For more information about microblading in Hull, give us a call today.
