Dame Judi Dench has proved age is just a number after appearing on the cover on Vogue magazine looking sensational.
The 85-year-old became the oldest cover girl for the fashion bible’s March issue, with the veteran actress appearing effortlessly fabulous for the close-up shoot.
Speaking with the publication, her daughter Finty Williams said: “It meant an awful lot to her. This age thing, I think, affects very much ow she feels about herself and this gave her just that little boost of confidence to make her go, ‘Oh, maybe I’m still OK.’”
She then added: “Of course after the photoshoot, she came back literally thinking she was Beyonce.”
The Oscar winner let her natural beauty speak for itself on the cover, with just a touch of eyeliner and mascara to bring out her striking blue eyes, and a hint of pink lipgloss. Her famous silver pixie chop was kept ruffled and her graceful smile made the image stand out.
Her self-deprecating humour shone through the article, with the beauty even making fun of herself in her latest role for the film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats.
Commenting on the ginger feline character she played, she said she looked like “a battered, mangy old cat … a great big orange bruiser”.
The dame proves you don’t have to be a certain age or have had lots of cosmetic procedures to look sensational, having now stolen the accolade of the oldest Vogue cover girl from Jane Fonda, who previously appeared on the front at the age of 81.
For those who do want a bit of help looking their best though, why not consider semi-permanent eyebrows in Hull?
